SEASON STARTUP INFORMATION
Pre Season Checklist

Proper fitting is crucial for safety and mobility. Go through this gear list to ensure everything is in working order and fits properly.
Helmet: Must be CSA/HECC certified with no cracks or missing hardware. Check the expiration date and ensure it fits snugly without shifting.
Face Mask/Cage: Adjust straps so the cage rests comfortably on the chin without leaving large gaps.
Mouthguard: Make sure it is clean, moldable, and fits securely in the mouth.
Neck Guard: BNQ-certified neck guards are required.
Shoulder Pads: Ensure they sit flat and do not rise uncomfortably into the neck or leave gaps at the chest.
Elbow Pads: Should fit snugly enough to not slide down during movement.
Gloves: Check for wear in the palms and ensure they allow for adequate wrist and finger mobility.
Jock/Jill: Check straps and cups to ensure they are supportive and secure.
Hockey Pants (Girdle): Should cover the hips down to the knees with unhindered mobility.
Shin Guards: Measure from the middle of the kneecap down to the top of the skate boot.
Skates: Check for ankle support, and make sure to have them sharpened before your first ice time.
Stick: Length should extend from the ice to the player’s chin while standing on skates, with the proper flex for the player's age/weight.

Skate guards and a cloth towel for drying blades after practice.
Tape: Clear sock tape, stick tape, and wax.
Extra laces and a tool/screwdriver for minor helmet adjustments.
Water bottle.
Jersey & Socks: Make sure you have the correct practice and game jerseys.

Registration: Ensure all registration fees, deposits, and payment plans are up-to-date.
Waivers: Complete and sign all league liability and insurance waivers.
