As a part of Langley Minor Hockey Association's Under-7 (born 2018 + 2017) and Under-9 (born 2016 + 2015) Development programs, each age group will be divided into a Major and Minor Division in order to group players of like skill ability together. Under-7 Minor, Under-7 Major, Under-9 Minor, and Under-9 Major will be assigned forty (40) ice times with paid Development Coaches in order to assist each athlete in the development of the Hockey Canada Core Skills for their respective age-group. These ice times will be divided as evenly as possible among LMHA's teams in each respective division.
Instructor - Billy Thompson: An alumnus of LMHA, Billy Thompson is the Program Lead at Canlan Twin Rinks in Langley as well as the Assistant Coach of the Surrey Knights of the Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL). Prior to beginning his coaching career, Billy played in the BCEHL (Zone) for the Greater Vancouver Canadians and the North Island Silvertips, before playing three seasons of junior hockey with the Surrey Knights.
