Instructions for Coaches needing BC Hockey Certification Reimbursement:
If you took a Coaching Clinic during the Season and are rostered to an LMHA team, you will be reimbursed upon CERTIFICATION. At the end of the season, the Director of Player and Coach Development will ask you to drop off your workbook. He will then sign off on the workbook and submit your letter of verification to BC Hockey. BC Hockey reviews these and then mails you a letter to confirm your certification. This letter is what is to be submitted to LMHA for course reimbursement along with your receipt. These letters often take until June or July to be received.
*If you have a receipt for Respect in Sport or HCSP or a Coaching Clinic you can submit the receipt directly to the LMHA Treasurer on or after October 15th of each season. This process is not yet up and running for the 2021/22 Season. Cheques will be processed at the end of the month your request was submitted providing you are fully certified and have completed all required components. Please allow a minimum of 3 - 4 weeks depending on the date of your request and please do not submit your request until all certification documents have been received. In your submission, please include:
- Name
- Mailing Address
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Clinic Certificate of Completion
- Dated Receipt
*Once a reimbursement request is received, LMHA will confirm that you are rostered to an LMHA team. LMHA will then contact you when your cheque is ready.
Please refer to the BC Hockey Coaching Page and click on the Clinic tab for the most up to date certification requirements.
Criminal Record Checks must be completed every 3 years with July 31st of the third year being the expiry date. All coaches, managers, team officials and volunteers are required to complete a CRC. We encourage all volunteers who are considering being a team official to please ensure they complete this process prior to the start of the season. LMHA will not roster an official who does not have a valid CRC, RIS and CATT.
The Criminal Records Review Program has made numerous changes to the process in order to enforce a streamlined submission procedure for all organizations. Fortunately, applicants can now once again complete this process online. Please see details below.
There is a new applicant-based online service (eCRC) using the BC Services Card as Electronic Identity Verification (EIV). If the applicant is using the BC Services Card to access the online service for first time, they will be directed to activate their card by video or in person through Service BC.
ONLINE: https://justice.gov.bc.ca/criminalrecordcheck
ACCESS CODE: 8PPB7KPFJM
IMPORTANT: Upon completing your CRC online, all applicants must provide the LMHA Administrator with a copy of their service #. Please either print the page, screenshot, or copy and paste this service # and email to info@langleyminorhockey.ca including your full name and DOB. Failure to provide proof of completing your Criminal Record Check to LMHA will delay the rostering process and your eligibility.
If you are uncertain as to whether your Criminal Record Check has expired, please email info@langleyminorhockey.ca with your full name and date of birth.
If you are unable to complete your Criminal Records Check online, please click on the link below to request a Criminal Record Consent form:
Our Administrator will attempt to provide you with this form within 48 hours of your request.
Once you have received and completed the CRC Consent Form, you will be required to bring 2 pieces of ID to the LMHA Office for verification. LMHA will submit the completed and verified form on your behalf. Please note that the primary piece of ID must be either your Drivers License or a BC ID Card and the secondary ID must be in the same name. Please ensure that you email to book a time to bring in your application for signing and submission.
