Jumpstart is a National Charity with a commitment to local communities. Organized sports connect kids to their communities. Canadian Tire Corporation recognized this and makes sure that money raised stays where it is donated. Canadian Tire Corporation is Jumpstart’s biggest supporter as it funds all the general administrative expenses of Jumpstart, which means 100% of customer donations go directly to help kids in need.
NOW accepting applications for the 2021/22 Season: KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under. Through a confidential application process we provide grants so they can play a season of sport. Nationally, KidSport is comprised of a network of 11 provincial/territorial KidSport chapters and 178 community KidSport chapters. Since its creation in 1993, over 530,000 kids across the country have been given the chance to play sport through KidSport grants and sport introduction programming
The Lace’em Up Foundation for Kids is pleased to announce a partnership with the Hockey Canada Foundation’s “Assist Fund”. All applicants who apply for Lace’em Up funding will now be directed to apply HERE. We thank you for participating in our program and hope that you have a wonderful 2021 hockey season!
Our program helps financially disadvantaged children play hockey by ensuring kids have equal financial access to the game. Often times, Lace ‘Em Up funding starts where another organizations’ funding ends. Details regarding the application process are available on their website. Lace 'Em Up is on a first come, first served basis so we encourage you to apply early. Please note you will need to provide a copy of you 2021/22 Season Registration Invoice which can be printed from your TeamSnap dashboard.
The Lace ‘Em Up funds are provided directly to your Minor Hockey Association who will ensure your outstanding registration fees are paid, and work with you and your sporting organization to determine other areas of need, and appropriate methods of disbursement.
Promoting Community through Kids in Sport Program (PuCKS) is a registered charity that "Keeps kids in school using Sports as the Tool." That is, PuCKS helps kids to stay (and succeed) in school by offering the incentive of team sports and 'big-buddy' relationships with university student mentors and athletes. PuCKS works with marginalized kids ages 8 to18 who are financially in need and/or recently re-settled in Canada through its annual 10 month comprehensive program of: a) Team Sports (soccer, hockey, and more) and b) Lit-Fit (after-school literacy and homework club).
