LMHA Volunteer Bond Agreement – NEW for the 2019/20 Season

NEW for the 2019/20 LMHA Season

The Volunteer Bond is being implemented by LMHA to encourage all Association families to become actively involved in the operation and success of our Association. As a community based minor hockey organization, LMHA is almost entirely dependent on volunteer participation to run effectively, not only at the team level but at an Association level therefore rely heavily on volunteers. We recognize that not every family has the time, hockey experience or skills to assist in a full-time volunteer position such as a Head Coach, Team Manager or Board Member; however, there are many other roles within LMHA that contribute to the success of our Association. The Volunteer Bond Program is being introduced to encourage and allow all members to step forward and get involved in some capacity.

Please take the time to review furthers details regarding our Volunteer Bond Program on the LMHA website such as:
• LMHA Volunteer Bond Policy
• LMHA Volunteer Bond FAQ’s
• LMHA Volunteer Bond Family Agreement

IMPORTANT – ALL families are required to remit their Volunteer Bond Family Agreement Form AND their $150.00 cheque to your Division Manager onsite PRIOR to your first Evaluation Skate. No Exceptions.

Operation Red Nose

This season we are excited to announce that LMHA has won the bid to bring Operation Red Nose back to Langley! Officially we are the Langley – Surrey division. Operation Red Nose provides rides to drivers and their passengers who feel unfit to drive for any reason – no questions asked – during the holiday season.

On Friday and Saturday nights during the holiday season (8-9 nights total). As an Association, we will run a call centre plus driving teams. One volunteer will drive the participants vehicle, a second volunteer will navigate, and a third volunteer will follow in an escort vehicle to pick up the two volunteers once they have dropped off the participant at their home. All rides are by donation to Operation Red Nose.

This is a huge opportunity for LMHA as 100% of the proceeds go right back into our association… both the ride donations plus any corporate sponsorships that we are able to raise. Our goal is to raise $25,000 for the Association this coming season! This is also an excellent way to fulfill your Volunteer Bond Requirement.

To get started, we are needing to assemble a few committee members. Please click HERE to express your interest in becoming part of the Operation Red Nose Volunteer team!
