Coaching Certification Requirements

A reminder to those who submitted a coaching application to LMHA.

We have almost completed the coach ratification process for ‘A’ and ‘C’ and will be in touch with the selected coaches shortly.

Please be advised that the following certifications MUST be up to date or you will not be permitted on the ice or on the bench to start the 2018-19 Season:

CRC (Criminal Records Check)

Criminal Record Checks are now done online and must be completed every 3 years (July 31st is the expiry date).  All coaches, managers, team officials and volunteers are required to complete a CRC.

** Please email your session number to the Administrator once complete – we will add this to your profile so that we know the CRC is coming.

** If you are required to print out the application and have it signed by LMHA, please contact the Administrator to set up a day and time to have it signed – DO NOT send it in yourself without the LMHA Administrator’s signature as they will only return it and delay your application.

** If you volunteer for another Association in the future, you can share the results of your LMHA criminal record check with them using the access code above.

And finally, if you require Coach 1 or 2 the online portion is up to 5 hours long. You cannot attend a Coach 1 or 2 clinic without the online portion completed. If your full Coach 1 or 2 certification (online and clinic) is not completed prior to December 1st you will not be allowed on the bench or ice for the remainder of the season.

To find the online portion for coach 1 or 2:

Search the E-Learning Clinic via Hockey Canada E-Hockey

The course is called HU – Online Coach 1/2
