Hi Everyone,

Well, it seems we have not seen the end of this snow!

We have had a few questions about why our practices and games are still running.  With almost 80 teams, it is not possible for LMHA to be rescheduling games and practices this week.  We and fellow associations just don’t have enough extra ice to make this happen, especially with the playoff schedule underway.

The instructions that we have been issued by PCAHA are as follows:

“There will not be the option to reschedule games unless a weather advisory is issued by Environment Canada.  Any team that chooses not to play will be considered a forfeited game.”

Of course, LMHA wants everyone to use their best judgement.  If you are not comfortable driving in the conditions, please keep in communication with your Coach and Manager.

Coaches and Managers, if you choose to not use a game or practice ice time, please ensure you let our ice allocator Byron know ASAP as well as the appropriate referee assignor.  If referees are not cancelled with enough noticed, your team will still be responsible for their costs.

If we have any updates, we will post them on the home page of our website.
